Winnie's look a like?

Currently listening to: UB40 - Kingston Town ( Bring on Summer already!!)
The Proclaimers - I Would Walk 500 Miles ( Love the Little Britain cover and sung on How I Met Your Mother by Marshall and Ted on their roadtrip! This is totally roadtrip worthy!!)
Band / Artist - JLS ( If the Backstreet Boys did R&B, they would be JLS. They also have this song called "Kickstart" which in my opinion is better than the Examples - Kickstart)
Anberlin (Another favourtie band. They came to New Zealand in 2009, which I missed out ='( )

Well I was on facebook ( I know, I'm the best procrastinator EVAR) and came across some dopplegangers
in particular, Winnie.
But here's Nic first!

I'm a sexy beast!
Plz endow me with some awesomeness! I'm currently average!

Hi! I'm Winnie! ^_^
Hi! I'm Winnie's clone! Mwahaha! (sorry, I'm sure you're a nice person)
I think it's the facial structure
Or I'm just hallucinating that I'm seeing Winnie everywhere
just like Shannen was hallucinating about being a purple person!! xD
Also, Thanks to Ryan for my birthday present!

The chicken or the egg?

Currently listening to: Pat Banatar - Hit Me With Your Best Shot ( I have this song on Guitar Hero 3 ON MY PHONE! ^_^ also it is a great sing a long)
Cute Is What We Aim For - Curse Of Curve ( acronymed CIWWAF like A Rocket To The Moon [ARTTM] and And Then There Were None [ATTWN] <-------- another favourite band )
Band / Artist - Lisa Miskovsky ( made the OST for the game "Mirror's Edge" which is based on Parkour (which I've been doing recently and taken interest to. Her other sings are also quite good)
Gabriel The Marine ( another typical pop rock band? I think not. At least it's better than the Jonas Bros.)

First of all, It's Sabita's birthday today and her party along with Roshni and Harika a while back was pretty awesome. Highlights was definately the beach photo op and another addition to my sunglass collection but the shades doesn't suit me. Only I would bring more than one pair of shades to a party. Happy Birthday Sabu!
Don't hide that beautiful face of yours!

Well the end of the year is drawing to a close and deadlines are creeping closer and closer.
Then you are face with two choices
Either lift your head up and look towards the future
or put your head down into a book and study up
because the end is the beginning
Its the like debate "Who came first? The chicken or the egg?"
Sid says the chicken evolved from reptiles
Clinton says the egg because without the egg, there will be no chicken and the egg was sent from heaven
I say its an infinite loop like an iPod stuck in replay
This debate happened while we were watching "Wizards of Waverly Place" xD
Don't worry guys, we know you watch it for Selena Gomez too
So the beginning is the end
Now I'm gonna fail my biology test tomorrow.
And some sad news
Indonesia was not hit by just one natural disaster but two
A tsunami hitting one of their remote islands and a volcano eruption on the island of Java
Currently at 100+ casualties and on the rise
My heart goes out to them
and hope they can make it through this tough situation

ps Sorry Ashley bout the chip (stingy asian-ness)
Shout out to Anagha ( cos she's cool =D )

Facebook

Currently listening to : Boys Like Girls - Five Minutes to Midnight (I remember this as our song for science [Me and Wei Ho] where we will play this song in the back of the classroom in year 9 with a newbie teacher named Ms Devi. God, the boys would ridicule her height and I guess that's how we had to get class counselling for harassment )
Takida - Curly Sue (Not only does it have my last name in the title [win] , this song was on the OST of the modern version of Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio which was our novel or "extended" text for year 9.
We all love you Shakespeare but English teachers has overanalysed your literature. In this case Ms Letcher
Good memories of year 9. Kai Tee still went to our school. School was easy. The only thing we ever worried about was passing. It didn't really matter in the end. Kai would just pull a quick one and ace the exams with no study AND was playing DotA)
Bands / Artist - Avett Brothers (very similiar to "Scouting for girls" so you kinda know what to expect with piano and drums. Lovin' "Kick Drum Heart")
Waka Flock Flame ( a little gangsterrr into the mix ^^)

Well in this day and age, everybody almost has a facebook. It's the most biggest social network running to this date. They even made a movie about it. Check out the "Social Network" with Jesse Eisenburg and Justin Timberlake out in cinemas now.
So facebook. I have facebook. Everyone I follow on blogger has facebook. Do you have facebook? Most probably a yes. I would also want to share a couple moments while I was on facebook

Pwnage
What a good sport!
Only cool people have sunglasses collections eh Terina?
Too indian!!
Why yes I do Javed
Wierd dreams you have Shannen
Sid's the man!
LMAO
it's global warming Jayden
Also check out Julian Smith on youtube to find out what he hates about facebook
Till next time, I'll be on facebook now ;)

To a special girl ^^

Currently listening to: Black Eyed Peas - Labor Day (It's A Holiday) (to suit such a three day weekend)
The Bloodhound Gang - Bad Touch ( one of her favourite songs ;D )
Busta Rhymes, Linkin Park - Numb (encore) (Her love of Linkin Park stemmed from this song)
Band / Artist - Linkin Park (I'm simply listening to their old stuff, basically everything before 'The Catalyst"
Favourite Song off Minutes to Midnight still has to be "What I've Done". A good way to kick off a great album)
Korean Pop also makes up a majority of her iPod. Sorry Rey. I only got Tae Yang, Lee Hyori and the rest are all boy bands and girl bands ( Super Junior, DBSK, Girls Generation, SS501 and your favourite, BIG BANG)

In a couple of minutes will mark the start of:
a) freedom
b) of something new
c) independency
d) all of the above plus more

Raina, if you chose anything other than d, I'm disappointed in you

We go wayy back. Almost 6 years of laughs, not that much crying, and a tonne of memories to boot.
Experiencing the ups and downs of this rollercoaster called life

Death Glare
Not embarrassing AT ALL
I smellz marshmellows
Raddz says Hi from across the ditch!
OMG!

PATHETIC *in Swanick's voice
This is to say Happy 18th Birthday Rey!
That was then. This is now

Where the hellz my contacts??

Look towards the future and hope for the best and make this friendship last no matter what!

Cutting of my precious hair

Currently listening to :
Song: Sabrina Washington - OMG ( Show your missus more love guys or you'll get some drama on your hands)
Remy Zero - Save Me ( Bring On Season 10 of Smallville!! Too bad Laura Vandervoort is not in it ='[ )
Bands / Artist - Mat Kearney ( I have all his albums!! Wicked acoustics!! One of my favourite artists)
LIGHTS ( Another of my favs. I know I blogged about her before but her music is just sooo mesmerizing and the onset of the next album has got me excited!! btw she's beautiful. Just had to put it out there.)

Well today started day with me doing the week's groceries shopping which racked up to $150 buxx.
It's not filled with unnessessary shopping like stockpiling tissues or panadol. It's like everything we need on a daily basis like bread and milk and school lunches and whatnot. I mean where do you think all the food I eat during and between classes come from? This also contains ingredients for dinner for the next 5 days.
Yes! I cook. =D
Then off to Alastair's place for lunch which consisted of instant noodle
then my haircut

Before
After
Don't worry. It'll be long for the summer!!
Also the Filopino fest in the afternoon which we met up with Gailene and Adriene

Lady pimp

I'm in like with these chips!! (love shouldn't be used so loosely)
and finally what I got for Alastair for his pressie a couple blog posts back
An eventful day nonetheless

Epic night of proportions

Currently listening to:
Song: Michael Buble - Hollywood ( more of a pop feel like "Haven't Met You Yet" Simply love it!)
Stereo Skyline - A Little More Us ( Strawberry 17 covered this on youtube with her "style")
Bands / Artist - J Boog ( NZ reggae at its best. This year's summer anthem and hoping he'll be at next year's Ragga Muffin)
Short Stack (upcoming band for more of you rockers out there)

Last night was Ankita's 18th party.
It was awesome.
The night was filled with moments
from Shiza's head banging duet with me
Melroy's guy talk on the way home with me
Reshmi's outrageous dancing on stage with me
Tika's piggyback ride ( I piggybacked her 200 metres)
Kunaal and Channy wearing my glasses and taking pictures with me
And the birthday girl Ankita being shot silly string over her cake (by me)
Purnima teaching me indian dance moves was also a highlight of the night
Anyone I missed, sorry. My head was buzzing with excitement but brain dead this morning

Like A G6

Currently listening to:
Song: Far East Movement - Like A G6 (Number 2 on iTunes USA! Damn right!!)
Cake - Short Skirt, Long Jacket ( The new iPod nano theme song but also the instrumental of this song is actually the theme song for the TV show Chuck. Gotta love Casey and Sarah)
Plain White T's - Rhythm Of Love ( for your lazy weekend and summer)
Bands / Artist: Plan B ( sounds like Dizzie Rascal but not much of the british accent)
Jimmy Needham ( your new James Morrison)

Just gearing up for the remaining weeks of school. With that comes deadlines for assignments and studying for my exams. But with that said, there's the final Year 13 assembly, Prefect assembly, Undie Run, Signing of stuff, basically the end of something great but also the start of something even better.

Summer!!!

I'm listening to Green Day's Good Riddance at this exact moment. "Its something unpredictable but in the end it's right. I hope you have the time of your life"
Also the results of Garba

Don't I look flash?
Tika has my finger in her mouth. Eww!!

Hope the guy who won $28,309,882 in last week's powerball have a nice life (and send some to me or at least give some to charity)

Alastair's birthday

Thought I forgot about you eh?
Think again buddy
Sexy Face
This guy and me go wayy back. Since intermediate, this guy has looked out for me and we both been through the works, through the worst imaginable, through life.
I can't say he's changed much over the years as he's as tall and lanky ever since I met the guy but we've both grown over the years to become men of our times.
People say I'm an indian trapped in an asian body but he's considered the opposite, an asian trapped in an indian body. That's probably why he's got more asian friends than me =(
From all the late night talks to our epicly awesome road trips, this guy means a lot to me
Couldn't even get off the phone lol
Happy 19th bro! (the area in limbo between 18 and 21)
Another sexy face?

Possible playlist for Al
The Beautiful Girls - Music
Travie McCoy - We'll Be Alright
Jack Johnson - We'll Be Friends
The Rembrants - I'll Be There For You
Yui - Happy Birthday To You You
John Mayer - Who Says
The King Blues - Save The World, Get The Girl

Happy Birthday to you you (Ally), I'll be there for you and we'll be alright.
We'll be friends and who says you can't save the world and get the girl?

ps found this in my computer. I hope they hope for the best for your special day

For ya Mrs Winny

I swear I'm gonna run out of music content to post (lol jk)
Currently listening to:
Song: Mike Posner & Izza Kizza - Kiss Me Thru The Phone ( samples Soulja Boy's track but sounds wayyy better than the original song)
Kid Cudi - Love Stoned Freestyle ( another sample. This time from Justin Timberlake's Love Stoned. Kid Cudi isn't like the usual rapper type and that's why I love his type of music)
Bands / Artist: Tinchy Stryder ( I'm feeling pretty gangsterr today)
Thunderheist ( mean songs to jerk to. FYI Jerkin' is a type of dance. plus ditto previous comment. Gangster!)
Plus Brooke Fraser's new album just landed!!
(her actual name is Brooke Ligertwood but no one listened to her music when she was part of Hillsong [i did =3]. I guess people just remember her surname easier than changing it)

Resub for Graphics is gonna be a pain but it has to be done =(
Late start plus early finish for me at school today.
I dedicate this blog post in memory of Raewyn Winny
I didn't know her personally but she was my music teacher at one point (year 9)
Rest in peace Mrs Winny ( I'm here for ya Luke)

Garba this Saturday!

Currently listening to:
Song: Bluffmaster - Right Here, Right Now & Sabse Bada Rupaya (getting into the mood for this Saturday's dancing)
James Blunt - Tears and Rain (talks about the character of Dorian Gray, who I find is an interesting fictional character who becomes immortal by trading his soul to the devil for eternal youth and all his sins and age transfers onto this painted portrait of him so as the years go by, he doesn't age but his painting does.
This means he can do whatever the hell he wants. He is consumed by hedonism ( the maximum net pleasure = pleasure - the pain / suffering). This just means that Dorian Gray was a total man slut
SPOILER ALERT: In the end, after 2-3 decades, racked with guilt over the murder of his brother in law, he stabs the painting and all the years of aging transfers back into Dorian Gray and the police can only identify the ashes as him by his ring and teeth. They also found the portrait of Dorian Gray totally unharmed and unblemished.
Bands / Artist : Zowie / Bionic Pixie (This girl is starting to become the next best thing in New Zealand since Ladyhawke and I hope for the best for her in the future)
Steve Aoki ( He's a Dj and he's mixed such songs as Metro Station's Control, Evermore's It's Too late and Kid Cudi's Pursuit Of Happyness. His style is very easy to love and Mike Relm recommends him so i had to check this guy out)

It's going down this Saturday Night for Garba at the Mahatma Ghandi Centre.
As one of the only asian ( of chinese descent, not indian subnote: India is subcontinental) I'm pretty indian myself. I beat Siddarth Dave in indian insults. That's how badass I am!
People find it surprising that I have hindi songs in my iPod but i'm just more variated in my music selection =D
Back to Garba, for those who don't know what it is, it is an Hindi festival of Navaratri celebrated over 9 nights by dancing. I borrowed a kurta last year but I bought one this year at Roop Darshan.
I entered the store and I get all these funny looks and they wonder why is there an asian in a indian Clothing store. The guy who helped me pick out my kurta literally picked out my kurta. All I did was chose either the red and black or the blue one. Such a nice guy but the price wasn't so forgiving.
$49.00! Thank god it was on special! 30% off! Shit! Still expensive! Better off buying something from Dressmart for something cooler. I walked out feeling not content with what I got but I only brought $40 with me =( plus I wanted the long one but the price margin between my budget and the price of the kurta was just too great. moving on to the actual night

This is my breakdown of the night.
9pm-ish - Arrive there. It's an indian thing to arrive like a couple hours late. No biggie. Plus no one will start dancing till there is enough people to make 3-4 large circles. This is where I will bust out my moves xD
10pm-ish - Say hi to every indian I know. I KNOW LIKE HEAPS!! I said to hi to more indians than Alastair Fernandes =D
10:30-ish - A prayer will take place so everyone who doesn't take part will go to get something to eat or drink for the over-priced canteen. There will also be stalls here selling knick knacks.
11:30-ish - Back to dancing. This is the lead up to the more freestyle dancing and where you can actually walk from the canteen to the main hall without rubbing and bumping into sweaty people who just clearly ran a marathon. Many people may have left at this point.
12pm-ish - Getting ready to leave. Must at least say hi to Henali and beat her at her own culture's dance

If you think I'm very indian, you've never seen Codesa or Joseph because Codesa knows the lyrics to "Desi Girl" and Joseph is not just the only white guy in the Roskill's indian cricket team but actually requests hindi and punjabi songs. Proud to call them my behen and bhai

Soulmates?

I don't like the idea of soulmates. It's misleading
The concept of soulmates revolves around that fact that there's one and only one that will be compatible with you. Imagine you are like a jigsaw puzzle with the Katy Perry line "I finally found you, my missing puzzle piece, I'm complete", that fact is that there is just the one specific piece that could fit, no matter how hard you try to make the two go together, they just don't. You can have a partial fit but not perfect. You can force it because everytime I do 1000 pieces jigsaw puzzles, I assume the pieces go together and start pushing the sides together, screaming "GTFI*" *sub in "in" instead of "out".
So the world's population is 6,874,100,000 approx and surface area of 510,072,000  square km
(thanks wikipedia) so your soulmate can be in another suburb, another country or even on another continent.
Who knows? Could even be off planet (See Superman + Lois Lane, etc) so the likelihood that you've found your soulmate is so slim that its like winning the lotto times thousand
Also, If your soulmate has an STD or is currently married to another person (the wrong person), you're totally fucked.
What do you think?
I think soulmates were created by men to woo their women counterparts because that's the type of corny stuff women love to hear

Term 4 = my worst term ever

Currently listening to:
Song: Imran Khan - Amplifier (decent hindi song, wicked bass)
He Is We - Happily Ever After (very catchy and acoustic-y)
Bands: A Rocket To The Moon (Their new stuff but had their old stuff in my iTunes somewhere)
2 NE 1 (Korean Girl band which I reckon is better than Girls Generation)
The Downtown Fiction (The next "Red Jumpsuit Apparatus"?)

School's tomorrow and I'm not prepared for any of it (maybe lunch, I'm sorted for that. Valleri can justify that with her flash job at New World =D)
I've not revised or studied any of my Calculus, Biology or my Geography let alone completing my Graphics and Tech assignments for externals FML. Maybe I shouldn't of went out almost every day and night with my buddies, playing Halo Reach and Basketball then go to party then sleeping till 12 in the afternoon. Another not as so wasted but non-productive 2 weeks plus an additional 4 weeks of school, I don't know if I can pull it off my portfolio D=
I'm ashamed to say that I may SNAr this year (standard not assessed) at the rate I'm going.
Not only that, got the prefect assembly to perform, undie run for year 13s and where's that Teachers versus the Year 13s hockey match Jaiman?
This year kinda sucked, that's my two cents.
Next year better be sofa king awesome that'll make me do something in my life that is worth the memory space in my brain.

Halo Reach and Call Of Duty: Black Ops

Two of the most anticipated games of 2010 and has created a lot of suspense for gamers worldwide.
I've got to say that I'm a Halo baby rather than a CoD baby because I've simply grew up with the Halo franchise and I've got to say, Halo Reach is the best game from Bungie to date and an awesome game if I don't say so myself. I love the Headhunter game type and the new loadouts and wasted a chunk of my holidays playing with my mates in SWAT slayer.
The opposition, Black Ops is set to be released in November and has a hell of a fan base gearing up, hyped up on suspense. The fact that there will be a RC bomb makes it kinda less black-op-sy and more of a virtual toy when clearly a real one is more fun. Its like the Wii Fit. You are playing a hula hoop game when clearly you can purchase the hula hoop for a fraction of the price.
But CoD has its strengths like being more realistic and less sci-fi but a weakness stated by a true CoD player 'In MW2, when disconnected, the game still continues but in Halo, it pauses all players' gameplay, its better'
If Infinity Ward can rectify this, they'll have a beast on their hands and by beast, I mean a game that'll make Halo another notch in the gaming belt, soon to be forgotten even though I'm a halo fan ='(
Who wants realism when you can fly with a jetpack?

Only Time will tell. May Halo:Reach dominate the hill as King (see what I did there? King of the Hill?) whilst the release of CoD: Black Ops draws closer and closer
Where the hell is Master Chief?!!

My unhealthy obsession

Over the course of these couple months, I developed a infatuation
An expensive infatuation
You know how people have their hobbies (A hobby should pass the time, not fill it <_< stupid English last year! Got the film "Psycho" quotes permanently memorized in my head,  where were you when I needed you last year, when it really mattered)
So back to hobbies. there's your stamp collectors, your train model enthusiasts and your taxidermists (again Psycho) and as for me, I collect glasses, more specifically - sunglasses.

I simply love them
<3

But this love comes at a cost.
Love should be unconditional where there are no costs =(
I have so many that I don't exactly know how many I own. I'm like Isla Fisher in 'Confessions Of A Shopaholic" I'm just that into my sunnies like DeStorm is into his hats (I'm ashamed of you if you haven't heard of him. Check his Youtube channel Click here to go to his Youtube profile)
In a previous blog post, I blogged about making "Marina and the Diamonds" glasses. This helped fuel my passion for sunnies like adding gasoline to a bonfire we did a couple nights ago. The sheer thrill of the adrenaline rush and stupidity had us talking to the fire department a couple moments after. (epic night boys)
Another story, another blog post I guess

Ps. I hope this condition of outrageous spending result in any financial difficulties in the future
Signed Timmy's Wallet

My reflective aviators are missing along with 3-4 others

Don't tell anyone my secret!
